In this portion of Anatomy for Movement, Laura reviews two important topics: Breathing and Posture. In the first section, we review Pilates breathing and how it differs from the breath work taught in other modalities. We then dive into all the muscles used during inhalation and exhalation. In the following section of the video, Laura discusses posture. There are two ways to assess posture: dynamic (See Part 3: Range of Motion for info) and static. Laura reviews how to do static postural assessment using a plumb line, as well as some of the most common "faulty" postures you will see when you train clients.
